February 2010: Chemtrols has bagged orders from Reliance Infrastructure Limited, Mumbai for supply of 69 nos. Feeder RTUs for 33/11 KV Substations of Reliance in Mumbai. The scope includes integration of the RTUs with existing ABB SCADA/DMS System through CDMA communication network using IEC 870-5-104 protocol. 

Chemtrols have so far supplied close to 150 Feeder RTUs to Reliance. Reliance’s decision to procure 69 nos. more FRTUs from Chemtrols re-establishes Chemtrols’ commitment to provide quality products and services to the satisfaction of its customers.

January 2010: Chemtrols bags a prestigious order from BHEL, Bangalore for over 1700 Universal HART Temperature DIN Transmitters, in a grilling reverse auction process. These will be put in operation at various NTPC project sites at Simhadri, Vellur & Jhajjar and will be supplied in phases. The transmitters will be delivered from the Moore range of temperature products, which we exclusively represent in India.
» Chemtrols will take a leap forward in steam engineering with the supply of Turbine bypass valve to Gupta Energy for their 2 x 60 MW power plant. The scope of the project includes supply of combined PRDS & Spray Water control valves.
» Chemtrols bags an order from Tata Power Ltd. – Jojobera for Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems and the scope of the project includes design, engineering, erection, installation & commissioning.

December 2009: Petrochemical major, Gas Authority of India Ltd., (GAIL), Pata (U.P.), has placed an order with Chemtrols for the Combined Pressure Reducing and De-superheating Station (PRDS) for Severe Steam Service. The combined PRDS and Spray Water valve will be with diaphragm actuators.  Execution of the order will be complete by mid 2010.
» Chemtrols has bagged the largest order for Dust Monitors till date, from BHEL – Ranipet for more than 70 Dust Monitors. These Dust Monitors will be supplied to various power projects and end-users.

November 2009: Chemtrols as the empanelled SCADA/DMS Implementation Agency (SIA) under R-APDRP accepted an offer of Empanelment for the role of SCADA/DMS Consultant (SDC) from Power Finance Corporation who is the Nodal Agency for the R-APDRP Program appointed by GoI. Accordingly Chemtrols is now empanelled for SCADA/DMS Consultant (SDC) role under R-APDRP.

October 2009: Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, has launched the Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Program (R-APDRP) in the XI Five year Plan. Under this Program, towns and cities with population of more than 4,00,000 and 350Mus annual input energy will be provided with SCADA/DMS system. Power Finance Corporation is the Nodal Agency for the R-APDRP Program appointed by GoI.

Chemtrols along with Consortium Partner OSI participated in the Global RFP floated by Power Finance Corporation and have been successfully empanelled as the bidder for the role of SCADA/DMS Implementation Agency (SIA) for all SCADA/DMS projects under R-APDRP for various state power distribution utilities. This empanelment is valid for a period of 3 years as per the guidelines of R-APDRP.
» ACC Ltd. / Ambuja Cements Ltd., have placed orders for more than 10 Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems for their various plants. The scope of the order also includes, amongst other specialized features, SCADA software for reporting and trending of the readings, meeting TuV regulations. This makes it one of the largest orders for Chemtrols from the cement industry till date.

September 2009: Chemtrols along with its Technology Partner Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI), Minneapolis, have been awarded a comprehensive new contract by The Tata Power Company, Ltd. of Mumbai, India; a multiphase project to upgrade the automation infrastructure that serves the central Mumbai and surrounding areas. The scope of this contract includes the replacement of multiple, nodal SCADA systems that monitor and control district level grids, as well as a new Unified master system and Operator Training Simulator, intended to manage all grid operations from the Central Control Room (CCR) at Tata Power’s headquarters in Mumbai.

Phase One of this project—the replacement and upgrade of three of Tata Power’s seven nodal SCADA systems throughout Mumbai and implementation of a state-of-the-art new Unified SCADA system at Tata Power’s Mumbai CCR—is poised to significantly improve and modernize Tata Power’s Mumbai power transmission and distribution grid operations, through the unification and consolidation of real-time grid monitoring and control; resulting in a dramatic enhancement in operational efficiency, cyber-security and overall system reliability.
» July 2009: The Minerals div. of FL Smidth, has placed orders for Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems from Chemtrols. The CEMS systems are part of FL Smidth’s project for IISCO – Burnpur and Chemtrols will manage the design, engineering, and supervision of installation & commissioning of the systems.

 

» March 2009: YBA Kanoo – Saudi Arabia  places orders for more than 35 Emission Monitoring Systems from Chemtrols, making it the single largest export order received till date by Chemtrols. The scope of the order also includes, amongst other specialized features, SCADA software for reporting and trending as per MEPA (Saudi Pollution Regulatory Authority) Standards. Saudi Electric Corporation is the end user for this project and BEMCO – Lebanon is the contractor.

 

» December 2008: Chemtrols is proud of the new record it has set in the Indian Analytical Business, with the prestigious order from Tata Steel – Jamshedpur. The order is for more than 50 Analyzers based on dilution technique for 14 stacks, 5 ambient stations and one mobile pollution monitoring van making it the largest order for Ambient and Stack monitoring systems from any steel plant in India.

It is then essential that the Company name capture the nature of such diversified activities it is involved. Accordingly “Chemtrols Engineering Limited” name is changed to “Chemtrols Industries Limited” which has been accorded approval by Central Government
» Chemtrols is awarded an order by Reliance Industries Limited for supply of complete analyser package for its Jamnagar Export Refinery Project at a value of US$ 18 million.

Chemtrols has secured an order from National Thermal Power Corporation for supply, installation & commissioning of 61 Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Systems for 20 plants spread across India along with communication system for transfer of data to Central stations. This is the largest single order for AQMS ever placed in Asia.

Chemtrols has been awarded a contract by Surat Municipal Corporation to supply, install and commission 3 Biogas to Energy Plants to generate nearly 3 MW of power and then operate and maintain for 5 years.

Chemtrols has got an export order from Green Dome Petrochemicals, Sharjah, UAE, for supply of Analyser package for their plant.

Chemtrols has been awarded two orders by Indian Oil Corporation, Chennai, for supply of complete Terminal Automation systems at its Sankari and Coimbatore Terminals.
